# Create your account

Sign up with your email, GitHub or Google. Then verify your email address and add a card to start your free Pro trial. Nothing is charged unless you choose a paid plan.

## Sign up

1. Open the sign up page

   Go to [app.xodia.ai/auth/sign-up](https://app.xodia.ai/auth/sign-up), or choose Start free anywhere on xodia.ai.
2. Choose how to sign in

   Choose Continue with GitHub or Continue with Google, or fill in your name, email and a password. With email, tick that you agree to the Terms and acknowledge the Privacy policy.
3. Pass the security check

   A short check keeps bots out. Most people never see it; if it asks you to click, do that, then choose Create account.

Every new account starts with a personal workspace, named after you. Your projects, members and plan belong to a workspace, and you can be a member of more than one.

### Password rules

A password must be 12 to 128 characters long and include a lowercase letter, an uppercase letter, a number and a symbol. Xodia also refuses passwords that are too common, and passwords that contain your name or email. The form shows which rules are met as you type.

## Verify your email

After you sign up with email, Xodia sends a link to your address. Open it to confirm the address. The link works for 1 hour.

You can sign in before you verify, but the workspace owner's email has to be verified before a card can be added. If the link expired, sign in and choose Resend email on the Verify your email step. Accounts that sign in with GitHub or Google use the address those services have already verified.

## Add a card and start the trial

Before anyone can open a workspace, it needs a card on file. The card is only for verification: your bank checks it, and nothing is charged.

1. Verify card and start trial

   On the Verify your account step, choose Verify card and start trial. Stripe opens to take the card. Stripe keeps the card details; Xodia only sees the brand, the last 4 digits and the expiry date.
2. Come back to Xodia

   Xodia checks the card with Stripe, which takes a few seconds, and opens your workspace. Your trial has started.

The trial includes:

- 14 days of Pro
- 10 preview hours in total
- 1 preview at a time
- No built-in AI
- No charge unless you choose a plan

After 14 days the workspace moves to Free on its own. Your projects stay, and Xodia never switches you to a paid plan. Choose a plan in Billing & usage whenever you're ready: that's the only time you're charged. Each workspace and each card gets one trial.

> **Note:** Only owners and admins can add a card. Other members see Waiting for a card until an owner or admin adds one, then choose Check again.

## Sign in and reset your password

Sign in at [app.xodia.ai](https://app.xodia.ai) with the same method you signed up with. Forgot your password? Choose Forgot password? on the sign in page and Xodia emails you a link to set a new one; the link works for 1 hour. After a password change, your other devices are signed out.
