# Connect Cursor, Codex, VS Code and other apps

URL: https://docs.xodia.ai/ai/other-apps
Last updated: 2026-10-22

Cursor, VS Code, Codex and any other app that speaks MCP connect to Xodia as a remote server. There is nothing to install: add the address, sign in to Xodia in your browser, and the app gets 26 tools and Xodia's skills.

_Picture: Xodia's New project dialog on its first step, with Connect your AI opened under Start fresh and Import from GitHub and the Other tab open: add a remote MCP server with Streamable HTTP, OAuth sign-in and the Xodia MCP URL, then sign in and ask._

## The server

Every app uses the same settings: transport Streamable HTTP, sign-in with OAuth, and this address. You don't need an API key or client ID; the app registers itself when you first sign in.

MCP server URL:

```
https://app.xodia.ai/mcp
```

## Set up your app

#### Cursor

Open this link on the computer where Cursor is installed. Cursor asks to add the Xodia server; confirm, then choose Connect or Needs login next to xodia in Cursor's MCP settings and sign in to Xodia.

[Add Xodia to Cursor](cursor://anysphere.cursor-deeplink/mcp/install?name=xodia&config=eyJ1cmwiOiJodHRwczovL2FwcC54b2RpYS5haS9tY3AifQ==)

Or add it by hand: in Cursor's settings, under MCP, add a new server, or put this in your mcp.json file.

mcp.json:

```json
{
  "mcpServers": {
    "xodia": {
      "url": "https://app.xodia.ai/mcp"
    }
  }
}
```

#### VS Code

Open this link on the computer where VS Code is installed. VS Code shows the Xodia server; choose Install, then sign in to Xodia when VS Code asks.

[Add Xodia to VS Code](vscode:mcp/install?%7B%22name%22%3A%22xodia%22%2C%22type%22%3A%22http%22%2C%22url%22%3A%22https%3A%2F%2Fapp.xodia.ai%2Fmcp%22%7D)

Or add it by hand: run MCP: Add Server from the Command Palette and choose HTTP, or put this in your mcp.json file.

mcp.json:

```json
{
  "servers": {
    "xodia": {
      "type": "http",
      "url": "https://app.xodia.ai/mcp"
    }
  }
}
```

#### Codex

In a terminal, add Xodia to Codex:

Terminal:

```
codex mcp add xodia --url https://app.xodia.ai/mcp
```

Then sign in to Xodia when Codex asks. If it doesn't ask, run this and approve access in your browser:

Terminal:

```
codex mcp login xodia
```

Or add it by hand to Codex's config file:

~/.codex/config.toml:

```toml
[mcp_servers.xodia]
url = "https://app.xodia.ai/mcp"
```

#### Any other app

These are the steps Xodia shows under Settings, AI agent, on the Other tab.

1. Add a remote MCP server: type Streamable HTTP, sign-in with OAuth, and this URL.

   MCP server URL:

   ```
   https://app.xodia.ai/mcp
   ```
2. Sign in to Xodia when the app asks, then ask it to work on your Xodia requests.

## What to ask

Name xodia in your message so the app reaches for its tools:

- Use xodia to work on my Xodia requests.
- Use xodia to fix the build error.
- Use xodia to speed up the home page.

If your app lists MCP prompts, Xodia's 9 prompts appear there too. The [MCP server reference](https://docs.xodia.ai/reference/mcp#prompts) lists them.

## If it doesn't connect

### The app asks for a transport or type

Choose Streamable HTTP (sometimes called HTTP) and paste the address. Xodia doesn't run as a local command, so there is nothing to install.

### The app asks for a key or token

Leave it empty and choose OAuth. The app asks you to sign in to Xodia and keeps the access you allow.

### Nothing happens after sign-in

Ask the app to work on your Xodia requests, or start your message with Use xodia to, so it knows to use the server.

> **Note:** Your app's changes wait as a draft in Xodia until you review and save them, and it can't publish your site. Disconnect it any time under Settings, AI agent, Connected apps.
